| Not exactly an informational interview ... |

I've worked a very low level job at a nonprofit organization for about 6 months now, though I have a background that indicates I can do much more.
I've been grateful for having any job at all, but I'm ready to try and move up. I contacted an executive that I know there and she recommended I contact one of her colleagues, which I did. Her colleague wrote back and said that she would be delighted to meet with me to discuss other opportunities. We have a meeting scheduled in a couple of days. Now I'm trying to prepare for the meeting and I have no idea what to talk with her about. I've never met this particular executive, I've asked around about her so I have an idea of what she does. There's no information about her on the organization's website. I know I want to show her that I'm versatile and have a lot to offer, but I've never had this sort of meeting before - only traditional job interviews. Has anyone ever done anything like this? Any tips you could offer would be tremendously appreciated. |
